more Harry Potter...

Now anyone who knows me knows how much I truly love the Harry Potter Series. It was my first love in the reading world and could never be outdone in my mind... not even by the amazing Twilight. Another thing that I love, are spoilers, mainly for my TV shows, but I love watching exclusives and special features on movies.

Today I ran across a handful of exclusives for the up coming Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Which is my FAVORITE book in the series by far. Now these exclusives do not give any crucial information, there are small spoilers, but nothing huge.(ie. the new teacher they're hiring to fill the empty post at Hogwarts) Anywho, I am super excited now to see the movie and if anyone wants to go opening weekend with me, let me know and we'll make a date.

so... I guess this is a MINOR (like almost none) spoiler alert...

reminder... it comes out July 20, 2009! mark it on your calenders.

help wanted.

I found out today, that I will no longer have a job at the end of this month. It sucks but at least my boss gave me a reasonable amount of time to find a new job. So heres where I'm asking the help of any family or friends.

If anyone knows where I could get a decently paying job that offers benefits (preferred but not mandatory) please let me know. I would really like to be on unemployment for as little time as possible.

2009 theme song

I try and have a theme song every year to kick off the next year.
with the economy the way it is, I think the thing that we all need to remember to be thankful for everything we have. I know that I am. I wouldn't be anywhere near where I am now without my friends and family.

So this years theme song is 'Thankful' By Josh Groban

Happy Holidays!

oh christmas tree... oh christmas tree...

here are a few pics of our house decked to the halls. I tried to convince David to let me do bright orange, bright pink, and a bright blue tree... but he didn't like it. so i settled for blue silver and white. Also we've had our tree up since Halloween.

Don't believe me? ask our neighbors, we dressed up our house for halloween... as christmas.

one of two pictures of my penguin collection...

two of two pictures of my penguin collection... and this isn't even all of them.

David's favorite christmas decoration that we have.

our ONE wrapped present... its to me... but David won't let me peek.

my beautiful tree skirt that my mom made me. I love it.

Our tree... with what else? penguins all over it.

Here is our entire entertainment center with all the trimmings.

'I smell snow!'

I just spent the last three hours trying to make a layout that would look good on most computers. the layout i made that is currently on here fits my desktop and both of our laptops, but not Davids computer. so i hope it works though I'm not counting my chickens.

Anywho, David and I have been very busy this weekend. I spent time with my best friend, she's leaving next week to go meet her husband who is coming back from Iraq. So that was fun for me at least. And David has been working all weekend which sort of sucks, because I hate being by myself. But I can normally find things to do. Such as finally getting started on mom and dad's tree skirt (I'm such a slacker.) and cleaning my house. Now all we need to do is go put away the boxes of unused decor and then i can get a picture up of our christmas tree.

I'm so ready for christmas to be here, I think I'm beginning to bother my friends at work. On Halloween I dressed up as 'Santas Helper' and people refused to give me candy because it wasn't christmas. Plus i'm always listening to Christmas music. Currently my favorite christmas album is Josh Groban-Noel. He's pretty amazing when it comes to the vocal performance. I must say. Though if you'd like my personal list of must have christmas albums look down below. David and I compiled a list of our must have christmas items to get in the spirit. It's a pretty intense list. So be sure to check it out.

We did have fun at Gramps and Grandmas yesterday though. It was nice to visit with all the cousins and everyone. And after we went and bought a whole bunch of christmas stuff, (such as: wrapping paper, cups, candy bowls, ect.) and i am now determined to find a christmas penguin bathroom set. If ya'll know where i can find one let me know.

Okay enough procrastination I should go work on the tree skirt or at least go spend time with my husband.

technical difficulties

i am currently working on making my own layout. so if you hop on and the layout of my blog is all sorts of weird I apologize, i'm just trying to figure this out.

another update.

I picked a new layout that is adoreable so thats new.

and i found a new way to pass my break times at work.

MAKING LISTS!

you will now be able to see all sorts of fun lists on this blog.
just remember they are all subject to change.
I'm going to put the lists at the very bottom on of the blog. so go check them out.

*snort*

lets try this again.

i'm going to try doing this again.
though there is never really much going on in mine and Davids life...

so.
But i will try this again.

an update.
David and I have been happily married for almost seven months now and are loving it, and eachother. I still have yet to master the art of cooking (i've burned rice-a-roni) but i'm still trying. Baking i'm great at, but cooking not so much. so if anyone has some fairly easy recipies or cookbooks let me know and i'll check it out.

David has a new job, sort of. He's now working on the installs team for RC Willey, so he's learning how to install huge theatre systems and hide the wires and all sorts of fun stuff like that. From what i can tell he loves it so heres hoping it stays this good.

This month is National Novel Writing Month {in case you didn't know}, or NaNoWriMo, and i'm trying to see if i can do it. The challenge is to write a 50,000 word novel in 31 days. I'm about 8,000 words behind but at least it has me writing. if anyone wants to read it as i write it let me know. I'd love some opinions.

For halloween David and I decided that we were going to skip two holidays... Halloween itself and Thanksgiving. On Halloween we dressed up our apartment as Christmas. We listened to Christmas music and put up our Christmas tree, and even handed out christmas candy. I'll take a picture(once i clean my house) and put it up so you all can see. But it was great fun.

can i just say that i love the radio stations that started playing christmas music on November 1st, at 12:00am. they made my day and are pretty much the only thing to get me through work. That and all my audio books.

i'm going to try and keep up on this, so heres hoping!
